Service Description

Join us for these accessible chair based yoga sessions to enjoy all of the benefits of a mat based session without having to get on the floor! Sessions consist of a mixture of mindful movement, breath work and relaxation. These sessions are fully subsidised by Marches Movement CIC and are pay by donation (suggested £5) if you are able - all monies raised go back into continuing the classes. Benefits of chair yoga include: + Improved flexibility: gently increases range of motion in muscles and joints without needing to get on the floor. + Better balance & stability: strengthens core and leg muscles, reducing the risk of falls. + Enhanced circulation: Gentle movement encourages blood flow, which can help reduce stiffness and swelling. +Joint health: supports mobility for those with arthritis or limited mobility. + Builds strength: especially in the upper body and postural muscles. + Supports spinal health: Promotes better posture and alignment while seated. + Stress relief: Breathing exercises and mindful movement can reduce stress +anxiety. +Improved mood: Encourages endorphin release and a sense of well being. +Supports mental clarity: mindful movement improves focus and cognitive function. FAQ ~ Do I need any experience or to be flexible? Not at all. The pace will be slow and accessible, with options offered to try and accommodate everybody and their individual needs. No previous yoga experience is necessary and you don't need to be flexible. ~Do I need to commit to every week? The classes are drop in format, but you are encouraged to attend weekly to really feel the benefits of the practice. As spaces are free to book you are asked to really commit to the class and to cancel if you are not able to attend. ~ Do I need to be religious or spiritual to attend? No. While we honour yoga and its Hindu roots you do not need to be 'spiritual' or religious etc to join and enjoy the practice. ~ I have a particular health condition and am not sure if this is suitable? We would advise you to consult your healthcare provider before starting sessions if you have a particular concern. Please note these sessions are in the Marches Studio Space on the second floor - accessible via two flights of stairs. Cancellation Policy

Non-refundable term bookings: When you book a course or term of classes, your place is reserved for the full duration of that term. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once payment has been made. Clear notice: Please ensure you can commit to the dates before booking. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and accept this policy. Missed sessions: We cannot offer refunds, credits, or make-up sessions for missed classes. Studio cancellations: If we have to cancel a class or the entire term for any reason, we will offer you either a full refund for the affected session(s) or a credit towards a future class or term. Consumer rights: Your statutory rights remain unaffected. If you book online and the term has not yet started, you have a 14-day cooling-off period in which you may cancel for a full refund. By attending or allowing the term to begin within that period, you waive this right.
