Be kind to your mind + bod 🧠

1 hMarches Movement Studio

Service Description

A gentle, supportive practice designed to nurture your mind as much as your body. These sessions weave together mindful movement, breath work, and relaxation techniques to help ease stress, reduce anxiety, and support emotional well being. You don’t need to be flexible or have any yoga experience ~ this is about creating a container to pause, reconnect, and restore. Each class is trauma-sensitive and invitational, with options to adapt postures to your comfort level. These sessions are fully subsidised by Marches Movement CIC and are pay by donation (suggested £5) if you are able. As spaces are free to book please honour your commitment and cancel if needed. Benefits include: + Calming the nervous system and reducing feelings of overwhelm. + Improving sleep and energy levels through gentle movement. + Building resilience and emotional balance + Cultivating self-awareness and compassion in a supportive community These sessions are ideal for anyone navigating stress, low mood, burnout, or simply wanting space to tend to their mental health. Please note: these classes are not a replacement for therapy or professional mental health support - we encourage you to seek additional help if needed. FAQ ~ Do I need any yoga experience to join? Not at all. These sessions are designed for all levels, including complete beginners. Movements are gentle, invitational, and adaptable to meet you where you are. ~ I live with anxiety/depression/PTSD — is this class suitable for me? Classes are trauma-sensitive and paced gently, with options to adapt. That said, these sessions are not a substitute for therapy or professional mental health treatment. Please seek additional support if you need it. ~ Will I have to talk or share personal experiences? No - while there may be gentle invitations to reflect internally, there’s no pressure to share anything verbally. The class is about creating a comfortable, non-judgmental space for you to reconnect with yourself. ~ What if I feel overwhelmed during class? You’re always welcome to pause, rest, or step out. Listening to your needs is encouraged. The facilitator is there to support you without pressure. ~How do these classes support mental health? Gentle movement and breathwork can help regulate the nervous system, lower stress, and promote emotional balance. We’ll also include relaxation practices to help cultivate calm and resilience.
